Dave England Trio play Driffield Show 2004

We were invited to play at Driffield Show 2004, and we are the first guitar band to play at the prestigious nothern event. We feel honoured to have been asked, and we gave some light entertainment to the crowds, many of whom stopped to have a listen while tucking into burgers, etc.

There were a record 30,000 people at this years show, which is fantastic for Driffield, the farming community and cottage industries. There were more stands than ever, and it was a great day. The rain kept off, the sun shone through on occasion, and a light breeze made it the perfect weather for enjoying a slow stroll through the many stands and stalls there.

The only complaint we got was from Dave - he was wanting to buy a new tractor, and didn't get chance to look round because he was playing! (aaawww!) We did play for a long time, though; 4 spots of over an hour each. And we didn't repeat many songs, either, which shows what a huge repertoire we have. So there!

With a bit of luck, we will be asked back next year. We do hope so, as it was cracking fun!
